Services

Pet Annual Wellness Programs

Did you know that your pet is aging at 7 times the rate of the average human? You can improve their quality of life by providing them with the proper annual wellness examinations and vaccinations. After reaching the age of 7 years, it is highly recommended your pet get a blood test done. This will be a proactive way of ensuring your pet is healthy, and catching any issues as soon on as possible.

Surgery( Spay/ Neuter & Elective Surgery)

Not only does the spay/neuter surgery help with undesirable behaviours (aggression, marking etc.) but it also provides health benefits. Having your dog spayed before the age of 18 months can almost eliminate the risk of mammary cancer. With the neuter surgery benign prostate enlargement can be prevented, as well as prostate infections that can come with aging.

Laboratory Testing

For the benefit of your furry friend, we have an in-house laboratory where blood chemistry panels, urinalysis, parvovirus testing, pancreatitis testing, and giardia testing are only a few of the tests we are capable of doing! The benefit we see from having an in-house lab is convenience, efficiency and accuracy. The time we spend on diagnosis is dramatically reduced, which can lead to quick action towards the proper treatment.

Weight Control & Wellness Programs

Just like us our pets need a proper diet as they age. On one hand, an unbalanced diet can lead to the malnutrition of your pet, whereas on the other hand, we can see obesity through excessive feeding. Both of these conditions can lead to serious illnesses that have the potential to become life threatening. Ask our veterinarian about how you can help your pet to manage a healthy weight and body today!

Dentistry

Without the proper dental care our animals become subject to things like calculus development. With this development you may notice a bad odour coming from the mouth, yellowing of the teeth as well as discolored gums. This allows for bacterial growth that may lead to the decaying of the roots of the teeth, once it has reached this point dental extraction may be necessary. We offer both dental cleaning and extraction services here at Bonnie Doon Vet Clinic. Book in with us today, and talk to our Veterinarian about all the preventative measures you can take for your pet’s dental health!

Radiology (Digital Radiography)

Have you ever had to experience long wait times for your pets x-ray results? At our clinic we understand that seeing your pet in pain, while being unaware of what’s wrong is very stressful. The x-ray machine we have in our clinic is fast and efficient, allowing us to process and view the images immediately. In using this machine we can eliminate stress for our clients, while determining the results quickly!
